PANIC keeps trying to creep its way in as I know Spring is just around the corner and I have still have another 2 x 15 meter rows to make for Sweet Peas 4 x 15 meter rows for the annuals that are ready and waiting in the green house, I need to find somewhere to plant my hydrangea hedge and actually plant 20 of them in the ground, find a new location to plant 200+ gladioli, sow hundreds of more seeds to follow the first crop of annuals and the list goes on and on and on. I must admit I am so very far behind as I have been having some ongoing unresolved health issue which has been leaving me physically crippled so the simplest of tasks that I would normally smash over and push through have become incredibly hard or impossible. Luckily I have my husband and 14 year old son who give me a helping hand on the weekends but I must admit its been tough.
Now I could get all stressed out which we all know is totally unproductive and helps no one but cause more drama and simply that is not the way we fly around here. It is what it is and I will plant what I can in the beds that are done. 31 Days you can get a lot done even at slow mo pace with many breaks.
SO I am choosing to be excited not stressed I honestly can not wait to see the beautiful flowers gently swaying in the breeze and the heavenly perfume that I know the sweet peas will bring. My plans may have been to triple in size from last years tiny flower plot experiment and I dearly wanted this year being my first year of actually being a Flower Farmer to kick off with a BIG BLOOM but maybe I need to slow down and work my way up to it. I do tend to go FULL ON into projects and the last time I did that i ended up really sick which I am still suffering from so maybe this is a good thing! YES lets say its a good thing and basically shiz happens and the clock keeps ticking and flowers will still grow. Quality not Quantity will be my aim for this season and to grow steadily along the way and actually when I think about it , what I have achieved whilst being physically disabled is actually pretty blooming amazing so if any of you out there are struggling physically or mentally YOU CAN 100% most definitely get things done. You may have to rethink they way you do things so you can physically do it but its possible and I promise it will make you feel better.
Now time for me to get the wheel barrow & shovel and start moving that compost
