Longing for the warmer weather

Winter can get tiresome and makes me long for the abundance of colour and full bodied flouncy ladies gently swaying back and forth in the warmer breeze. The scent of sweet peas as i walk up and down the rows completely infuse my body with joy and happiness, I wish that we could send scent through the internet, everyone would be hooked!

Winter I am finding to be busy crazy! building of new beds which is a timely process of building layers of compost manure straw to create beautiful rich no dig beds. Sowing thousands of tiny seeds that I have to hold my breath so I dont blow them away then tending to them every day to make sure they have enough water but not too much. Planting of bulbs corms rhizomes so they get their much needed winter chill to flower and the list goes on and on, all while its cold wet windy blahhhhhhhhhhhh.

Longing for Spring and its not far away! The days are starting to get longer the Tulips are poking their leaves through the surface, cold hardy annuals and perennials are starting to move the ranunculus and anemones are growing rapidly, daffodils are getting long and the Sweet Peas are climbing!
